Qualcomm™ Satellite Tracking
AEL utilizes satellite technology to track shipments. Each tractor is equipped with a unit that periodically transmits the vehicles location to our main Dispatch Office. The instant communication between our dispatchers and drivers, allows us to quickly respond to road side emergencies, traffic, weather or delivery problems that may cause delays. This also enables us to advise our clients of any difficulty and provides more accurate ETA's on our online program and our Customer Service Department. All trailers have also been outfitted with a special transmitter that instantly reports any temperature abnormalities. Customers have peace of mind knowing their shipments are closely monitored each and every mile.
EDI
Through the use of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), shippers electronically transmit box size and quantity information computer to computer virtually eliminating input errors and can be done in one-one thousandth of the time it took the manual system. EDI works hand in hand with bar coding by facilitating tracing of products on a 24-hour basis, 7 days per week.
Bar Coding
As the industry leader in transportation, Armellini Express Lines was first to install a state-of-the-art bar code system. Utilizing modern scanning equipment, we are able to trace your product from the moment it enters the Armellini system, until it is safely stacked in your cooler via truck transport. Our scanners provide the flexibility to read a wide variety of bar-codes that will also in the future list the commodity shipped in each box.
Service Maximum
Service Maximum gives our customers a wider range of options when it comes to shipping their imported or Florida grown product to points across the country. Our Florida transport service routes cover most major cities 5-7 days per week and along with Armellini AirExpress we have everyday coverage.
